  • Guth For Senate

Dennis Guth announced Friday (June 17, 2010) that he is running for the Iowa Senate in the newly formed Senate District 4.  He is running because he has a desire to renew the conservative roots of our great state.  Guth says, “There are many ways that our state has strayed from its Constitution and its time we bring our government back under control.”  He agrees with Edmund Burke who stated that “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” It is time that we wake up and no longer “do nothing”.

Guth’s focus will be on bringing our government in line with the constitution as it was originally intended.  That means allowing free enterprise to operate without government tinkering and having laws enacted by the principles of self-government.

Guth is 56 and has lived on a farm north of Klemme all of his life.  He has a degree in Agricultural Mechanization from Iowa State University and has been married to his wife, Margaret, for 33 years.  The couple has five children and one grandchild.  Guth has served on many boards in the area and currently is an Elder at the Evangelical Free Church of Britt and secretary of the board at the Family Leader
